Hampton Hearing

Hampton Hearing is an independent hearing and ear care service serving Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley and surrounding areas of South Yorkshire. We are primarily a mobile business, bringing professional ear and hearing care directly to patients in their own homes, care homes and other suitable settings. We do not operate from one permanent fixed clinic, although we also run clinic sessions in different cities on selected days and times for patients who prefer a clinic appointment. This flexible model allows us to make professional ear care easier to access across the region.

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Mobile home visits are available by appointment across South Yorkshire. Clinic sessions are also offered in different cities on selected days and times; locations and availability vary.

Same-day, evening and out-of-hours appointments are available subject to availability.

We specialise particularly in mobile ear wax removal, with a strong focus on elderly patients, people with limited mobility and anyone who may find travelling to a clinic difficult. Our ear wax removal service includes microsuction and ear irrigation. Every appointment begins with an ear health assessment using an otoscope so the clinician can examine the ear canal, identify wax build-up and decide which treatment method is most appropriate.

Microsuction is performed using professional suction equipment while the clinician maintains a clear view of the ear canal. Ear irrigation is also available where clinically appropriate following assessment.

Hampton Hearing is not a one-person service. We have a team of clinicians and support staff working across the business, with different members of the team supporting mobile appointments, clinic sessions, hearing care and patient administration. The service is led by Nadia Rafiq, Head Audiologist, who has more than 20 years of audiology experience, including experience at Sheffield Children's Hospital. We hold qualification, training and competency evidence for staff relevant to their roles, together with the appropriate insurance documentation for the services we provide. Supporting documents can be supplied for verification on request.

Alongside ear wax removal, we provide hearing tests and screening, hearing aid advice and fitting, hearing aid checks, cleaning, maintenance and repairs, ear health checks, hearing protection, custom ear plugs and ear moulds. We are open 24 hours, with mobile and clinic appointments available by arrangement, including same-day appointments where availability allows.
